The city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is preparing to host the I International Congress of Sports Law on May 15, an event that will bring together experts and professionals from the sector at the ULPGC Paraninfo.
The official presentation of this congress took place at the Municipal Sports Institute, highlighting its relevance as part of the commemorative acts for the centenary of the Inter-island Football Federation of Las Palmas. The program will include seven discussion panels with the participation of renowned speakers, including former footballers, international referees, and national team coaches.
“
"It will be a special day, very close to the Final of the SM La Reina Iberdrola Cup and with a spectacular lineup. It is a pleasure that this Congress is held in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, a city that always champions sports and physical activity, not only in practice but also in training."
The organization of the event emphasizes the importance of bringing the football sector closer to society, public administrations, and private companies. The congress is expected to have a significant impact beyond its celebration date.
“
"This congress is not only aimed at jurists, but at all those people who want to work in the sports industry. As a lawyer, I have realized the shortcomings that both athletes and the industry have, and that is why CIDD was born."
The congress has the institutional backing of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council, the Insular Sports Institute, the Municipal Institute for the Promotion of Physical Activity and Sports of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and the Government of the Canary Islands. In addition, various private entities and brands support this initiative.
Tickets to attend the I Congress of Sports Law of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria are available through its official website.
