The Gran Canaria Stadium, home to UD Las Palmas, has registered one of the season's lowest attendances during a key promotion match, raising concerns about fan turnout.

The match between UD Las Palmas and CD Leganés, played last Friday and deemed crucial for the team's promotion aspirations, drew 16,128 spectators. This figure represents the second-lowest attendance of the 2025-2026 season, only surpassed by the 14,000 attendees for the game against Cultural Leonesa in December 2025.
Despite having 25,000 season ticket holders, the Gran Canaria Stadium, with a capacity of approximately 32,000 fans, showed 15,872 empty seats. It is worth noting that in August 2024, the stadium was filled with 31,192 spectators for a match against Real Madrid. Furthermore, it is anticipated that for the 2030 World Cup, the stadium will feature a new configuration, expanding its capacity to 44,000 spectators.
Compared to other teams in the league, Racing attracted 22,128 spectators to their last home game, while Málaga filled La Rosaleda with 27,212 fans for their match against UD Las Palmas. Deportivo, meanwhile, gathered 28,356 people for their last game, significantly outperforming the Canarian team's figures.
The average attendance for UD Las Palmas in the 2025-2026 season is 18,455 fans, placing them fifth in the Second Division. Other teams such as Málaga (24,812), Deportivo (23,380), Racing (20,905), and Sporting (20,788) record higher averages. In the last two seasons in Primera División, UD Las Palmas's average attendance was 23,010 (2024-2025) and 25,041 (2023-2024), while in the promotion season (2022-2023) it was 20,835.
The team has two remaining home matches, against Real Valladolid and Zaragoza, and four away games against Cádiz, Andorra, Almería, and Deportivo.
