The stage production follows the journey of a young Senegalese man who leaves his hometown in search of work in a neighboring country, just as a civil war breaks out. What promised to be a simple journey turns into an odyssey marked by the consequences of colonialism, the lack of legal pathways for safe mobility, and racism.
The play highlights European funding aimed at migratory control in countries like Niger and Morocco, as well as the labor exploitation faced by those crossing borders. It is an intimate and powerful piece that gives voice to migrants, revealing the harshness and humanity that permeate their stories.
The performance takes place at the Plaza de Canarias, located in the central area of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, between the El Muelle shopping center and Mesa y López avenue. This space has hosted various events and festivities.
