The nationalist organization has voiced its apprehension following union complaints about unpaid wages, a significant shortage of staff, and the stagnation of various public employment calls. According to the party, this situation severely compromises the City Council's operational capacity and its ability to provide fundamental public services to citizens.
“"The expiration of public employment offers, the non-compliance with labor agreements, and the absence of dialogue with the workforce are jeopardizing municipal operations and the provision of essential services."
Nueva Canarias Telde emphasizes that the deterioration of local administration is not a recent phenomenon, and that warnings about this issue had been issued previously, with solutions even proposed. However, they state that no corrections have been implemented, leading to a worsening of the situation.
After meetings with union organizations, Nueva Canarias' conclusion is clear: Telde needs "work, planning, and transparency." The party contrasts this necessity with what it describes as the current governing group's dynamic, based on "distraction, easy headlines, and a lack of effective management."
Among the most prominent problems is the "deficient management of public employment," with the expiration of several offers and the failure to execute calls, which has exacerbated staff shortages in critical areas for municipal functioning. Therefore, the party demands the immediate activation and effective resolution of all pending calls.
Furthermore, Nueva Canarias denounces the non-compliance with labor agreements, unpaid wages to staff, the blocking of internal promotions, poor organization, and the absence of constructive dialogue. These facts, according to the party, reveal a "lack of political direction and institutional responsibility" on the part of the local government.
The party warns that, without "urgent political intervention," Telde City Council could face "total paralysis." Therefore, they urge the municipal government to get immediately involved, comply with agreements made with the workforce, execute public employment offers, and open a "transparent and effective" negotiation process.
Despite its criticisms, Nueva Canarias Telde reiterates its willingness to collaborate, offering its support to "set the city's course straight" with "responsibility and commitment." The party concludes that "the situation is unsustainable and requires immediate decisions."
