Eight individuals, three women and five men, are competing for the directorship of the Fundación Auditorio y Teatro de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, following the closure of the candidate admission period.

The selection process for the directorship of the Fundación Auditorio y Teatro de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has concluded with eight admitted candidacies: three women and five men. These aspirants will undergo an initial selection this Tuesday, a step prior to the final interview that will determine who will succeed Tilman Kuttenkeuler.
Municipal sources confirmed that among the candidates is the person who has held the top executive responsibility of the foundation for the past ten years. Last March, the presidents of the board, Mayor Carolina Darias and the President of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, informed Kuttenkeuler of their decision not to renew his contract, initiating this public selection process.
The current director had appealed the contest's terms, although he has submitted his candidacy. According to official sources, the foundation's actions are not appealable as it is a board of trustees and not an administrative body, though his complaint has been noted in the process.
