Princess Leonor, along with approximately 70 classmates from the General Air and Space Academy, visited the Poema del Mar aquarium in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The Spanish heir to the throne and her military promotion peers made a tourist visit to the Poema del Mar aquarium, an attraction of the Loro Parque Group located in the Gran Canarian capital. The visit was conducted in several groups.
They were welcomed by Christoph Kiessling, vice-president of the Loro Parque Group and president of the Loro Parque Foundation. The cadets, who are in their fourth year at the General Air and Space Academy in San Javier (Murcia), are on a trip to conclude their academic activities.
During their stay in Gran Canaria, the group has also visited other points of interest such as Teror, Arucas, and Tejeda. The students are staying at the Gando air base.
The Poema del Mar aquarium is notable for housing the world's largest curved window of its kind, spanning over 250 square meters. Inside, more than five hundred animal species from diverse parts of the planet are exhibited, along with over 2,000 plant specimens from Africa, Australia, and Asia, distributed across various marine and riverine ecosystems.
This facility, inaugurated in December 2017, is situated within the city's port area.
