Quevedo's highly anticipated return to the Iberian Peninsula's stages has been accompanied by social media controversy. The Canarian singer has unveiled the first dates for his upcoming tour, significantly titled ‘El Baifo Tour‘, currently confirming four exclusive shows for 2027: April 9th and 10th at the Movistar Arena in Madrid, and July 1st and 2nd at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona.
The decision to limit his mainland tour to the two major capitals, mirroring the strategy of major international stars, has caused deep disappointment among fans in other provinces, who have quickly criticized the scarcity of stops.
“"Hahahaha, they're lucky I'm from Las Palmas."
Faced with an onslaught of reproaches and complaints about the extra costs of travel and accommodation, the interpreter of ‘La playa del inglés‘ reacted via his official X account with a message full of irony. Amidst the uproar, the artist from Gran Canaria decided to clarify his words shortly after, urging his followers to remain calm and assuring them it was all a joke.
Quevedo stated that his intention is also to reconnect with all his fans and hinted that this new phase of ‘El Baifo Tour‘ will be extensive, promising many more opportunities and locations to meet in the future. However, maintaining his usual irreverent personality, the singer humorously closed his clarification by repeating the same phrase that had sparked the debate.
The reveal of these initial dates was also done in a highly original manner. On June 10th, the singer launched an interactive video game on his website titled ‘El Baifo está en casa‘ (The Kid is Home), where users had to guide a young goat (the animal conceptually symbolizing his new record work) to avoid obstacles. Thanks to the collective effort of players, who accumulated points to reach 100% of the global score, these first tour confirmations were unlocked, promising to keep generating buzz on both sides of the Atlantic.
