The Santa Brígida City Council, through the Department of Commerce and Tourism, has invited residents, associations, social groups, companies, and sector professionals to a presentation and debate session for the Santa Brígida Tourism Sustainability Plan (PST) 2027-2030. This meeting is held prior to its final approval.
After months of technical work, the Consistory has designed this strategic document with the fundamental objective of evolving the current tourism model, characterized by short stays and excursionist visitors, towards an interior destination that is structured, sustainable, and fully integrated into the rural and landscape identity of the midlands.
“"The objective is for the final plan to faithfully reflect the needs and aspirations of residents, merchants, and local entrepreneurs. The vision of a resident, a farmer, an artisan, or a small business owner is key to shaping a model that protects our heritage and revitalizes the local economy."
The preliminary study highlights the municipality's high environmental value, its deep-rooted wine tradition, the uniqueness of its artisan centers, and its strategic proximity to the metropolitan area. These strengths, combined with its status as a non-mass tourism destination, offer an ideal foundation for consolidating an authentic experiential offering.
During the session, scheduled for September 22nd, the conclusions of the municipality's strategic diagnosis will be presented, and a public intervention period will be opened to gather suggestions and proposals for improvement. The Councillor for Tourism encourages citizens to consult the summary document beforehand to enrich the conversation.
