The Canarian entity Satocan S.A. has been proposed by the Contracting Board of Arucas City Council to execute the first phase of the new municipal offices. The proposal is based on its high score, obtained after submitting an offer of 7,489,326 euros, representing a 13.16% reduction from the 8,641,139 euros initially tendered by the Council. The projected duration for this first phase is 24 months.
The significant budget reduction and an extended warranty period of three years were key factors for Satocan S.A. to achieve the maximum score of 100 points in the bidding process, clearly surpassing the other four competing companies.
The future infrastructure, located on Heredad street, will span 5,073 square meters across four floors. It will include a basement with 51 parking spaces designated for both municipal employees and citizens conducting business at the building.
The estimated total cost for the construction of the new municipal offices in Arucas amounts to 11 million euros, divided into two phases. The first phase, which carries the most economic weight, covers earthmoving, foundation, complete structure, exterior enclosure (except for some carpentry), and the completion of the ground, first, and roof floors.
In this initial stage, the ground and first floors will be fully operational. The two underground floors will include the structure, enclosure, communication cores, lobbies, and utility rooms. The second phase, lasting 12 months, will focus on the finishing and cladding of the building.
The building's design incorporates green areas to create welcoming spaces and large windows to maximize natural light.
This initiative addresses a need expressed by the residents of Arucas, as municipal offices are currently spread across eight different locations, causing inconvenience for the town's inhabitants.
It is worth noting that Satocan S.A., in a joint venture with Sacyr Construcciones S.A.U, is also involved in the construction of the new ring road for Arucas, a project valued at 16,859,456 euros.
