The family of Vicente Reyes, the well-known owner of Zumilandia, has confirmed the arrest of a suspect for the crime that occurred last March in the Schamann neighborhood of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The news was shared by a family member via social media, who expressed "mixed feelings" and thanked the Homicide unit for their work.

According to investigators, the arrest took place on June 3rd in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The detainee, known by the alias 'El Conejero', was linked to the fatal assault on the merchant after months of extensive investigations, including the analysis of surveillance camera footage and voice analysis.

Vicente Reyes was severely injured by a bladed weapon on March 15th and passed away the following day. His death caused shock in the Schamann community, where he was a highly regarded figure. The National Police highlighted the public alarm generated by the case.

As part of the operation, a search was conducted at the detainee's residence, where items were seized and are currently being analyzed.
