The initiative aims to revitalize the public spaces of the Telde coast, using locations such as Playa del Hombre, Melenara, Salinetas, Tufia, Ojos de Garza, and La Garita as meeting points during the end of summer.
Outdoor cinema will be one of the prominent proposals, although the full program of films and session details will be announced soon by the Department of Youth. The program will also include concerts, musical performances, family shows, and outdoor recreational activities.
The Telde City Council promotes 'Súbete a la Ola de la Vida' as a strategy to encourage the use of public spaces and generate economic activity in nearby establishments.
The traditional Summer Cinema event in Salinetas, which has gathered thousands of people in previous editions, will maintain its presence. In the past, film selection was done through municipal channels via citizen voting, a system that is intended to be continued.
The organization of the event is led by Cristhian Santiago Santana Caballero, councilor for youth, with the collaboration of the Department of Culture, directed by Juan Martel, and the public company GESTEL, managed by Jesús Suárez.
