The Telde City Council has completed the installation of two new outdoor urban gyms in the parks of Melenara and La Vega, promoting physical activity and community well-being.

These spaces, located in Melenara and in the Anna and Vicente Ferrer square in the La Vega urbanization, each feature 12 bio-healthy exercise machines. Their design aims to offer accessible areas for sports practice, focused on improving health, mobility, and social interaction among residents.
The implementation of these gyms transforms both parks into open-air exercise centers, with equipment suitable for people of all ages. The funding for this project was made possible by a grant of 100,000 euros awarded by the Presidency Department of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, led by Teodoro Sosa.
This investment is specifically allocated to creating open zones that combine physical exercise, functional rehabilitation, and civic coexistence. Both urban gyms are expected to be fully operational next week, offering a new resource for the well-being of the Telde community.
