Despite the draw against Zaragoza, UD Las Palmas still depends on itself to secure a spot in the promotion playoffs for the top tier.

UD Las Palmas faces the final league matchday with the possibility of mathematically qualifying for the promotion playoffs. A victory this coming Sunday at Riazor, at 5:30 PM, would seal their place in the promotion tournament. Their opponent, Deportivo de La Coruña, has already secured their return to the First Division, which might influence the Galician team's motivation.
However, the scenario becomes complicated in case of a draw or defeat. In these circumstances, the yellow team will have to keep an eye on the results of other direct rivals such as Castellón, Málaga, and Burgos. UD Las Palmas has lost the head-to-head record ('average') against the team from Levante and the Costa del Sol side, but maintains an advantage over Burgos.
If the team from Gran Canaria achieves victory, they could even aim for third place if Almería and Málaga do not win their respective matches. A draw at Riazor would open the door to third position under a more complex combination of results: Almería losing to Valladolid and UD surpassing the overall goal difference, Málaga losing, and Castellón and Burgos also failing to score.
In the worst-case scenario, if UD Las Palmas is defeated in their visit to Galicia, they would need Burgos not to win and for Eibar, who are three points behind, not to win by a margin of four or more goals.
