Unión Deportiva Las Palmas is preparing for a crucial away match against Cádiz, aiming to end a streak of three consecutive away defeats and regain momentum in the competition.

The island team faces a scenario reminiscent of their recent 0-3 victory against Cultural Leonesa, a match that helped overcome a negative run. Now, with Cádiz in a delicate situation near the relegation zone and with a new coach, UD Las Palmas sees an opportunity to assert themselves away from their home stadium.
Before this commitment, the Gran Canaria team has suffered setbacks against Albacete (2-1), Eibar (3-1), and Málaga (2-0). Although away results were more favorable in the first half of the season, the trend has changed, accumulating 38 points at home compared to 22 away from the island.

"The team is aware of the 'Idiákez effect' and the extra motivation that Cádiz will display in this clash between Andalusians and Canarians."

Historically, the Cádiz ground, known as La Tacita de Plata, has not been favorable for UD Las Palmas. In 19 visits, the team has only achieved three victories and four draws. The last triumph dates back to May 31, 1987, with a 2-4 score in the First Division.
After a ten-day break, the team has intensified its preparation, including gym sessions and tactical exercises, with the aim of arriving in optimal conditions for the match and climbing positions in the standings.
