The Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council has completed the modernization of the play area in the historic Santa Catalina Park, incorporating new furniture and entertainment options for residents.

This initiative, led by the Isleta–Puerto–Guanarteme District Council and the Sports Council, aims to optimize the use conditions of the space, fostering a more accessible and participatory environment for all residents.
Among the most notable improvements are the installation of 30 new tables and 150 chairs, as well as the inclusion of board games like chess and checkers. These additions are intended to expand the leisure alternatives available to park users, responding to a citizen demand for the update of this traditional meeting point.

"These improvements reinforce the park's role as a place for coexistence, participation, and activity, adapted to the community's needs."
