The Telde City Council has awarded the renovation works for the artificial turf and irrigation systems of the municipal football fields of La Herradura and Las Huesas for 879,032.14 euros.

The company Equipur Canarias SL will carry out the work after obtaining the maximum score in both lots of the procedure, which include the replacement of playing surfaces and the improvement of equipment in both sports facilities.
The Councilor for Sports, Cristhian Santana, highlighted the importance of this investment for the clubs and athletes who regularly use these facilities, stating that the renovation will allow users to train and compete in better conditions.
The tender was divided into two lots: one for the La Herradura football field, with a budget of 447,102.23 euros, and another for Las Huesas, for 431,929.91 euros. The selected bids represent a combined reduction of 238,203.56 euros compared to the initial tender budget.
The award to Equipur Canarias SL was based on the evaluation of the economic offer, the extended warranty period, proposed improvements, and the reduced execution timeframe. Funding will come from grants from the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and municipal contributions.
This action is part of the municipal plan to improve the sports infrastructure of the municipality, and the next step will be the approval of the award by the Local Government Board.
