This funding, proposed by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Equality, Youth, Childhood, and Families, ensures the continuity of essential services for minors and their families in Canary Islands municipalities.
The programs covered include information, promotion, prevention, detection, and socio-family integration services. Specific actions encompass attention and advice, declaration of risk situations, provisional guardianship of minors, and the creation and management of immediate care units.
Furthermore, funding is provided for the management of economic benefits, data collection and studies on municipal needs, family information and training schools, and measures to ensure compulsory schooling in collaboration with school councils.
This contribution is in addition to the 97 million euros from the Joint Plan, which benefits approximately 450,000 people and over 220,000 families. Additionally, 45 million euros have been allocated to strengthen the staff of municipal social services.
