The Prosecutor's Office of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is seeking nine years in prison for a man accused of attempted homicide, who has been in provisional detention since the incident.

The Prosecutor's Office of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has requested a nine-year prison sentence and a fine of 70,200 euros for a man alleged to be responsible for attempted homicide. The accused has been held in provisional detention since the events occurred, and the trial is scheduled for June 9th at the Provincial Court of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
According to the Public Prosecutor's account, the accused arrived near a shopping center by car. After exiting the vehicle, he encountered the victim, and a heated argument ensued. During the dispute, the defendant allegedly brandished a 15-centimeter knife and allegedly inflicted four stab wounds to the head and one to the left arm before making a hasty escape in the vehicle.
The victim's injuries were concentrated on the frontal region, nose, and left jaw, affecting facial nerves that caused ongoing paralysis. These injuries necessitated surgical medical treatment, including plastic surgery, and 34 days of medication, resulting in a significant aesthetic impairment.
