Two women, aged 59 and 42, have been mildly affected by smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in the kitchen of a hospitality venue in Santa Cruz de Tenerife early Saturday morning.

A fire that started early Saturday morning in the kitchen of a hospitality establishment in Santa Cruz de Tenerife forced the precautionary evacuation of the building. As a result of the flames and the rapid spread of smoke, two women, aged 59 and 42, received treatment for mild intoxication.
Emergency services, coordinated by the CECOES 112, deployed units from the Consorcio de Bomberos de Tenerife (Tenerife Firefighters Consortium), who successfully extinguished the flames. The Local Police and National Police secured the area during the operation.

"Both victims received first aid on-site from medical personnel of the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) before being evacuated."

The two affected individuals were transported by SUC ambulances to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria for a thorough medical examination. After suppressing the kitchen fire, firefighters proceeded to ventilate the affected establishment to remove toxic gases.
This incident follows another emergency response recorded the previous night in the north of the island, where a fire in a home in La Orotava also led to the hospitalization of a 57-year-old man, also for mild smoke inhalation.
