The mobile application SC Mejora from the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has surpassed 3,200 downloads and 165,000 accesses, establishing itself as a key tool for urban management and mobility in the Canarian capital.

This digital platform, which recently underwent a technological renovation, allows citizens of Santa Cruz de Tenerife to access real-time traffic information, locate parking spaces at Las Teresitas beach, and manage various urban incidents.
Since its launch in late March, the application has maintained constant activity, with an average of 63 new daily downloads. Official data indicates that 90% of its users are regular residents of the municipality, highlighting its relevance to the local population.
One of the most used services is the reporting of public road damage, with 4,745 incidents already processed. The most frequent notifications include the removal of bulky waste, the condition of asphalt, urban cleaning, reports on abandoned vehicles, and the maintenance of green areas.

"The tool transforms the capital into a more connected and efficient city for its residents."

The effectiveness of this system is based on a response network comprising 34 companies that operate in a coordinated manner to resolve demands, streamlining response times and improving the quality of basic services.
The latest update to SC Mejora has incorporated essential mobility features, such as real-time traffic visualization in Santa Cruz via strategically located cameras. Additionally, the application provides real-time information on parking availability at Las Teresitas beach and geolocates electric charging points, public transport stops, and loading/unloading zones.
The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council is already working on a new expansion phase, aiming to transform the application into a single digital window. Soon, detailed interactive maps of playgrounds, sports facilities, and dog-friendly areas will be added, complementing existing services such as the locator for on-call pharmacies and waste containers.
