The festive day began with a Eucharistic celebration at the hermitage of Machado, officiated by the vicar general of the diocese, Juan Antonio Guedes, and the local parish priest, Aníbal Hernández. The Orfeón La Paz enhanced the ceremony, which served to commemorate the first anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of the Virgin del Rosario.
Subsequently, the image of the patron saint embarked on a procession, accompanied by various authorities. Among them were the mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil, the mayor of Candelaria, María Concepción Brito, and the second deputy mayor of the Villa Mariana, José Francisco Pinto, as well as members of the municipal corporation. Residents of Machado and devotees of the Virgin also joined the procession.
The traditional procession to El Calvario, a central event within the municipality's patronal festivals, featured the participation of the ACM "Princesa Yaiza", adding a cultural element to the religious celebration.
