Within the hospital network, donations can be made without an appointment at the University Hospital of the Canaries (Sunday to Friday and holidays from 8:30 to 21:30, Saturdays from 8:30 to 14:30 and 15:30 to 20:00) and at the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de Candelaria (Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:00, Saturdays from 9:00 to 13:00, except holidays).
Other donation locations include Hospiten Bellevue in Puerto de la Cruz (by appointment, Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 14:30) and the San Juan de Dios Hospital on the road to Santa Cruz La Laguna (Monday to Friday from 10:30 to 12:30).
Basic requirements for blood donation include being between eighteen and 65 years old (up to sixty for a first-time donation), weighing over fifty kilograms, and being in good general health.
