The incident occurred at 2:47 PM when the emergency operations center received the alert. Paramedics arrived at the scene and attempted to resuscitate the individual, who was in cardiorespiratory arrest, but were unsuccessful.

Personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Services (SUC) continued resuscitation efforts upon arrival and confirmed the man's death. The Local Police of San Cristóbal de La Laguna have initiated the relevant proceedings.
