The Candelaria square in Santa Cruz de Tenerife was filled with rhythm and talent for the first edition of 'Santa Cruz dances', an exhibition that gathered more than 400 participants from various schools and academies.

The exhibition of dance and creativity, held this Sunday, brought together over 400 participants in Candelaria square, as part of the Fiestas de Mayo organized by the Santa Cruz City Council. The event stood out for the quality of the choreographies and the performance of dancers of all ages, who received a great ovation from the audience, especially from the families of the youngest performers.
Moments of great intensity, such as acrobatic figures or patterns of sharp movements synchronized with the music, kept the audience on the edge of their seats. Among the participants was the group The block from the D'project Dance Studio academy, who will represent Spain in the world urban dance championship in Phoenix, United States, in the mini crew category. This trio of young talents, who also teach at the academy, highlighted the difficulty of progressing at a regional level and the need to travel to the Iberian Peninsula to access larger competitions.
The dancers praised the 'Santa Cruz dances' initiative, suggesting that its expansion to the entire island would allow visibility for other talented groups from Tenerife. They emphasized the high level of the youngest students at the academy, barely 9 or 10 years old, whose execution and synchronization demonstrated hours of training and physical preparation for complex choreographies that include acrobatic numbers.
