At the request of the Popular Party itself in Santa Cruz, Carmen Pérez will assume the First Deputy Mayor position and the spokesperson role for the Popular Municipal Group. This modification affects the distribution of responsibilities within the governing coalition with Coalición Canaria.
The reorganization also includes a new assignment of Deputy Mayor positions for the PP. Carlos Tarife will take on the third deputy mayor role, Zaida González the fifth, and Alicia Cebrián the seventh. Santiago Díaz Mejías will no longer hold this position.
Regarding the deputy spokespersons for the PP, these roles will be filled by Carlos Tarife and Zaida González.
The government areas assigned to the councilors of the Popular Party remain the same, with the exception of the Strategic Planning and Market areas, which will transfer from Carlos Tarife to Carmen Pérez.
The decree also includes a modification in the municipal representation on the Board of Directors of the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where Carmen Pérez will replace Carlos Tarife as a representative member for the City Council.
These changes will be presented at the next ordinary Plenary session of the Santa Cruz City Council, scheduled for September 25.
