Santa Cruz de Tenerife kicks off the summer season with its anticipated Summer 'Tardeo', an outdoor party aimed at revitalizing social life and promoting active aging among those over 60.

The capital of Tenerife is preparing to host a large gathering for healthy leisure this Saturday, the Summer 'Tardeo', which is expected to draw over 500 attendees. This event, now in its second edition, is establishing itself as a social revitalization initiative, bringing entertainment to the streets and leveraging the island's climate to foster citizen coexistence in open and safe environments.
The heart of the event will be the Residencial Anaga square, which will be transformed with a stage and technical setup to provide five uninterrupted hours of entertainment. Access will open at 5:00 PM with ambient music, followed by the main program starting at 5:30 PM with the group MISS. Other performers include Titi Soberbia, popular Tenerife singer Jadel, comedian Daniel Calero, and the group LALALA, who will close the musical evening.
This event is part of the Plan de Mayores Maresia (Maresia Seniors Plan), promoted by the General Directorate for Seniors of the Government of the Canary Islands in collaboration with the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council. Authorities emphasize the importance of such projects in revitalizing urban life and combating unwanted loneliness, encouraging active aging and reclaiming public spaces as meeting points.
The organization has mobilized municipal resources to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and accessibility of the event. Local programs like “Santa Cruz más viva” (Santa Cruz More Alive) align with this regional strategy, demonstrating the effectiveness of inter-administrative cooperation. The public is invited to join this afternoon of celebration that combines tradition, music, and social inclusion.
