The Tegueste City Council has completed improvement works at the Municipal Library, located in the C.C. Príncipe Felipe, which will reopen its doors on September 10th after incorporating a new accessible entrance, an adapted bathroom, and renewing its technological infrastructure.

The Villa de Tegueste has carried out a significant improvement project at its Municipal Library, situated in the C.C. Príncipe Felipe. The primary objective has been to adapt the spaces, enhance accessibility, and update the center's infrastructure to offer a more inclusive and modern service to the citizens.
Among the main novelties is the creation of a new accessible entrance, featuring a doorway and ramp designed to facilitate entry for wheelchair users and individuals with reduced mobility. Additionally, a new fully accessible unisex bathroom has been established, reinforcing the functionality and inclusivity of the facilities.
The intervention also included the renovation of the data structured cabling network within the C.C. Príncipe Felipe. New connection points and workstations have been integrated, along with the adaptation of conduits and communication equipment, to optimize connectivity and the performance of municipal services.
The reopening of the Municipal Library will allow this space to fully reclaim its role as a cultural and educational hub, and a point of access to reading for the residents of Tegueste. The center is scheduled to be operational again on September 10th.

"We continue to advance in improving our public spaces so they are more accessible, modern, and suited to the needs of all citizens. The Library is an essential service, and we want everyone to be able to use it in the best possible conditions."

Norberto Padilla · Mayor of Tegueste

"This action represents an important step towards having a more accessible and comfortable Library, further strengthening the necessary conditions to continue offering a quality cultural service to our residents."

Roberto Díaz · Councillor for Culture
The project was funded through a grant corresponding to the Cultural Infrastructure Plan 2016-2029 from the Cabildo de Tenerife, aimed at supporting the improvement and modernization of the island's cultural facilities.
