Regarding land ownership, Gutiérrez demanded rigor and stated that "the land does not belong to the people of La Laguna, and therefore, to Tenerife; I cannot allow that." He presented official documentation confirming municipal ownership of a 45,000 square meter plot, which is available to investing entities.
