The initiative, starting at 1:00 PM, will allow attendees to taste various adobo recipes prepared by local families, paired with wines from regional wineries. Seven residents will share their own family recipes, helping to preserve and promote Tegueste's gastronomic heritage.
The mayor of Tegueste, Norberto Padilla, emphasized that the event is an opportunity to "value our traditions and recognize the knowledge passed down through generations," adding that "gastronomy is part of our identity, and gatherings like this allow us to keep it alive."
Meanwhile, the councilor for the Primary Sector, Julián Rodríguez, highlighted the commitment to initiatives that connect local gastronomy with local products and the people who keep these recipes alive. "The Adobo and Wine Encounter is also a way to support and give visibility to our producers and wineries," he stated.
This edition is supported by the Government of the Canary Islands, through GMR Canarias, for the creation of a recipe book that will compile participants' recipes from various editions, contributing to the conservation and dissemination of this heritage.
The day will also feature live music, designed as a space for meeting and coexistence centered around the gastronomy and products of Tegueste.
