The National Police have successfully arrested an individual believed to be responsible for the arson that completely destroyed two vehicles parked in Barranco de las Nieves, Santa Cruz de La Palma.

The incident dates back to the morning of March 9, when a couple reported to authorities that their cars had been destroyed by a fire during the early hours. The vehicles were parked next to each other outside their home.
Following this report, investigators began the necessary inquiries to clarify the events. The review of both public and private security cameras proved essential to the investigation. The collaboration of the Local Police of Santa Cruz de la Palma and local residents, who provided footage from their own surveillance systems, was crucial.
Thanks to this evidence, the movements of the alleged perpetrator were reconstructed. The individual was seen arriving at the scene in their own vehicle at the time the fire was deliberately set. Ultimately, the suspect was arrested on March 31, charged with arson.
