The Government of Canarias and the airline Binter have formalized a strategic alliance to promote and highlight the human capital of the archipelago, joining the "Canarian Talent" project on April 30, 2026.

This collaboration agreement seeks to position the islands as a benchmark in innovation, culture, and entrepreneurship. The initiative, declared of strategic interest, aims to inspire new generations and foster values such as the culture of effort and Canarian identity.
The "Canarian Talent" project will integrate audiovisual pieces into the airline's in-flight entertainment channel, allowing thousands of users to learn about the success stories emerging from the islands. The programming will include specific content focused on key areas such as sports, science, culture, and entrepreneurship.

"This collaboration with Binter not only expands the reach of our platform but also reinforces the image of the islands as a land of opportunities and creativity, both within and outside our territory."

A spokesperson for the airline highlighted that the initiative "contributes to the destinations connected by Binter with Canarias being able to learn about Canarian talent from another perspective and to position the archipelago as a benchmark in innovation and future." The company thus reaffirms its historical commitment to Canarian society, acting as a voice for the values that define the archipelago.
The "Canarian Talent" project, promoted by the Vice-Ministry of Social Welfare and the General Directorate of Organic Coordination and Strategic Projects of the Government of Canarias, was declared strategic by the president of Canarias on October 13, 2025. Its objective is to generate positive role models for youth and recognize the talent linked to the eight islands as a fundamental asset for the development and future of Canarias.
Furthermore, the project considers the perspective of talent return, seeking to involve young Canarians studying or working outside the islands in analyzing the necessary conditions for them to return and develop their professional careers in Canarias.
