This management contract, which replaces the previous one, establishes the mission, vision, and values of the Canary Islands Tax Agency, along with its fundamental strategic objectives. Its strategic roadmap is structured around four essential pillars for fiscal administration.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Finance, these axes include providing high-quality service to taxpayers, strengthening actions against tax fraud, promoting voluntary compliance with tax obligations, and optimizing internal organization, innovation, and professional development of its staff.
Among the purposes highlighted by the Ministry is technological modernization and updating. This aims to ensure the availability, security, and efficiency of the systems and applications used in tax management, a crucial aspect for the agency's operations.
The new document covers material, budgetary, and technological resources, as well as the human resources of the Agency. Regarding the rest of its minimum content, it presents no significant changes from the previous contract, maintaining performance evaluation, management responsibility, and monitoring and modification procedures, always with the goal of improving service to citizens and optimizing efficiency and security.
