After the completion of the 2026 University Entrance Exam (PAU) tests, thousands of students in Canarias are eagerly awaiting their grades. The release of these scores is a critical moment that will determine access to the most sought-after university degrees for the upcoming academic year.
The results for the ordinary PAU 2026 session for Canarian students can be checked starting at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 12th. Each student will have access to their personal record to verify the scores obtained in each test and the final grade.
To access the results, students must use the platforms provided by the public universities of Canarias: the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and the University of La Laguna. Identification will be required using the username and password provided during the enrollment process.
To pass the PAU, students must meet two requirements: achieve a minimum score of 4 out of 10 in the general phase and a final grade equal to or higher than 5 points. This final grade is calculated by weighting 60% of the Baccalaureate average grade and 40% of the general phase score. Those who do not meet these conditions will be considered "unqualified".
Students who do not pass the university entrance exam in this session will need to retake future tests if they wish to access university. The grades from this session will be annulled, unless the student had already passed the PAU in previous sessions.
Students will have three business days after the publication of the grades to request a review of their exams if they believe the score does not reflect their expected performance. The papers will be re-evaluated by a different examiner than the one who initially graded them.
The definitive grades, after the appeals and reviews period concludes, will be published on June 19th at 12:00 PM. At that point, students will know their final score for participation in the university pre-registration and admission processes for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Following the release of their results, young people will begin the crucial phase of choosing their degree programs. Fields such as Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Computer Engineering, and double degrees typically have the highest cut-off grades, making every tenth of a point critical for securing a place in their desired option.
