The Canarian Health Service (SCS), through its Directorate General of Blood Donation and Hemotherapy, and the Canary Foundation Children with Cancer Pequeño Valiente have signed an agreement to consolidate and provide a stable framework for their cooperation. The agreement aims to foster public solidarity and ensure adequate blood reserves for healthcare in public hospitals across the archipelago, especially for cancer patients requiring transfusions.
The agreement includes the joint development of awareness, sensitization, and promotion activities for altruistic blood donation. The Pequeño Valiente Foundation will collaborate in disseminating the SCS campaigns through its communication channels, highlighting the importance of this gesture for children undergoing oncohematological treatment.
Both entities will also participate in Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives to promote values such as solidarity and social commitment. Hemodonación y Hemoterapia will provide informational material to the Foundation and promote awareness activities for its staff and volunteers.
The signing of this agreement allows for the consolidation and provision of a stable framework for this cooperation, highlighting its importance in ensuring the healthcare of oncological patients who need transfusions as part of their treatments.
