The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) maintains the yellow alert for high temperatures in Gran Canaria this Thursday, while the rest of the archipelago returns to normal values.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has decided to maintain the yellow alerts for high temperatures in Gran Canaria for this Thursday. The rest of the Canary Islands are already experiencing temperatures in line with the time of year.
Currently, the Government of the Canary Islands has an active alert for heat and another for wildfire risk across the archipelago.
In Gran Canaria, the heat is expected to continue. The peaks and the eastern, southern, and western slopes of the island will remain under a yellow alert until 8:00 PM this Thursday.
According to meteorological forecasts, the maximum expected temperature is 34 degrees Celsius, mainly affecting altitudes between 600 and 900 meters, with particular impact in the Tirajana basin.
From 8:00 PM this Thursday, it is expected that the entire Canary archipelago will be free of meteorological alerts issued by Aemet.
