The address, focusing on the history of the Canary Islands, featured the participation of a group of local girls, who are distinguished students. Mayor Juan Cabrera invited residents to enjoy the 17 days of celebrations with family and joy.
The mayor expressed gratitude for the commitment of the Councilor for Festivities, Lucila Ruiz, and the Festival Committee, chaired by Rodrigo Franquiz, for their efforts in ensuring the success of the events.
Artist Pepe Melián also participated in the event, presenting a wooden carving of Nuestra Señora de Antigua to the officiating priest. Melián, who served in the parish from 1969 to 1973, left a significant mark through his youth activities, dedication, and research into local historical heritage.
