The mayor of Antigua highlighted the beauty of the event, both for the runners and the spectators, and thanked the organization, the Sports Department, volunteers, and the Athletics Federation for their commitment to ensuring the event's success.
Participants enjoyed a challenging course that combined water, mud, foam, and fun, completing the five-kilometer distance and overcoming more than 30 obstacles.
The Sports councilor congratulated the winners and all the protagonists of the day upon their arrival at the finish line.
“"We are committed to continuing to support these types of events that promote sports and citizen participation."
Victory in this popular mud race went to Elsa Afonso (EAMJ-Playas de Jandía) in the women's category and José Hernández (Trotadunas) in the men's.
At the end of the race, attendees applauded a runner who suffered a fall and received medical assistance from the on-site ambulance.
