The Antigua City Council has begun renovation, cleaning, and maintenance works on the municipality's sports courts. The mayor and head of Works and Services, Juan Cabrera, announced that this plan is starting at the Agua de Bueyes court. "It was a commitment of the new Governing Group to make all the municipality's sports facilities operational and in perfect condition, and we will achieve it," stated Cabrera. "We have a team of six operators dedicated to these tasks," he added.
The Councilor for Sports, Alejandro García, affirmed that the court was very deteriorated, dirty, and abandoned. "The repair, painting, and integral renovation of the space have been carried out to soon host sports events, thus responding to the residents' demand," explained the councilor for the area.
The mayor concluded that in a few months, a significant improvement in the municipality's sports courts will be noticeable.
