The work, which was awarded at the end of last May, has an approximate budget of 175,000 euros and a maximum execution period of six months.
In addition to the recovery and enhancement of the Pozo de las Vacas itself, the project will address the environmental and landscape deterioration of the surrounding area. The aim is to restore the landscape and preserve the 'gavias' (cultivation terraces) located on the dry stone walls surrounding the well.
These dry stone walls currently exhibit precarious structural stability conditions, making their repair necessary to ensure the safety of passers-by and the stability of the land, as detailed in the tender announcement.
