The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts for this Monday maximum temperatures of up to 37 degrees in the midlands of the south, southeast, and west of the islands, especially in Tenerife and Gran Canaria, accompanied by haze and very strong wind gusts.

This Monday will be marked by intense heat across the Canary Islands, with temperatures potentially exceeding 35 degrees and locally reaching up to 37 degrees in the midlands of the south, southeast, and west of Tenerife and Gran Canaria. Nights will also be warm, with notable increases in minimum temperatures in the midlands.
Haze will mainly affect midlands and high areas, reducing visibility and increasing the feeling of stuffiness, especially on the southern slopes of the islands. The trade winds will blow moderately, but very strong gusts are expected in exposed areas, particularly in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, and Tenerife, potentially exceeding 80 km/h in some locations.
In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the forecast maximum is 30 degrees, while in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 27 degrees are expected. However, the heat will be more pronounced in the interior and midland areas of both islands.
The forecast by island details: in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, maximums of up to 32 and 34 degrees respectively are expected in the southern interior. In La Gomera and La Palma, maximums could reach 34 degrees in the western and southern midlands. In El Hierro, up to 34 degrees are forecast in the southern midlands and high areas.
