The traditional Feria de Ganado del Pino will take place next Sunday, August 23rd, at Finca de Osorio, Teror, featuring an exhibition of 350 animals and numerous family activities.

The Finca de Osorio in Teror will be the venue for the Feria de Ganado del Pino next Sunday, August 23rd. The event, running from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, will showcase approximately 350 animals from 37 local breeders. Entry is free, and complimentary Global bus services will be available from the center of Teror to the estate.
The fairgrounds, located in the Los Granadillos area, will display bovine, caprine, ovine, and equine livestock. The Teror City Council, through its Rural Development department led by councilwoman Irene Ortega, has organized a comprehensive program of recreational activities for the whole family. These include ring races, team gymkhanas, livestock parades, threshing, Roman plowing, shearing, donkey rides, environmental workshops, milking and cheese making, gofio ball tasting, ornithological exhibition, and pineapple husking and shelling. The exhibitions are supported by the Club de Arrastre la Caldera and the Club de Arrastre Gran Canaria.
Traditional music will also be part of the day, starting at 12:00 PM, with performances by the Parranda El Lebrillo and the ‘El Álamo’ Dance Group. The award ceremony for participating breeders is scheduled for around 1:30 PM. This year, animal transport subsidies amount to €21,460, an increase of nearly €5,000 compared to 2025.

"This celebration should serve to reflect on the importance of the Primary Sector and our shared responsibility as a society to protect, strengthen, and recognize its contribution. In this way, we will be betting on our territory, our roots, and the future of coming generations."
