The opposition group believes the Council is «giving away for free» its right of first refusal to manage the underground parking, commercial area, and public space around Sintes Square. Guerra argued that this decision «mortgages the future of the municipality», as the parking facilities in the historic center have always complied with the established conditions.
The political party voted against authorizing the entity to participate in the judicial auction, arguing that the opportunity to «recover the parking facilities» is being missed, and their private management will continue until 2054. Guerra pointed out that the non-compliance of the previous concessionary company could have allowed for the management to be recovered for free.

The spokesperson for Nueva Canarias in Teror voiced her disagreement during the plenary session last Thursday, stating her position against the motion presented by the local government.
