The 50th edition of the Rally Islas Canarias-Rally de España, scheduled from April 23 to 26, 2026, has unveiled its complete itinerary with significant new features and adjustments following the recent storm in Gran Canaria.

The motorsport event, which for the first time will span four days, will kick off on Thursday, April 23, with the 'BP Ultimate – Las Palmas de Gran Canaria' spectator stage. This stage, also to be completed the following day, is notable for being the first international super special held in a football stadium in Spain, marking a milestone for the event's golden jubilee.
Damage caused by the recent storm in various areas of Gran Canaria forced the organizing committee to swiftly restructure the initially planned itinerary for the Friday stage. Thanks to the collaboration of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the involved municipalities, the first full day of the rally will maintain a three-stage loop with several modifications.
Among the new features for Friday, the 'Valleseco - Artenara' stage will start the section with a more advanced starting point and a longer final route. 'Tejeda - San Mateo' is positioned as the longest stage of the day, while 'Mogán - La Aldea' will be run in reverse, making it a completely new stage for WRC (World Rally Championship) teams.
The organizing committee, in coordination with the FIA and WRC Promoter, has ensured optimal alternative routes and more convenient access to both the stage start areas and the Service Park at the Estadio de Gran Canaria. The itinerary for the Saturday and Sunday stages remains unchanged from what was presented in February, totaling over 300 timed kilometers.
The longest special stage of the route continues to be 'Moya - Gáldar', part of the penultimate day's loop which includes 'Maspalomas' and 'Arucas - Firgas - Teror'. Sunday will introduce two unprecedented stages for the WRC: 'Ingenio - Telde - Valsequillo' and 'Santa Lucía - Agüimes', the latter designated as the 'Wolf Power Stage', a distinction that gives it a decisive role in concluding this iconic edition.
