The celebration will kick off this week with the traditional Livestock Fair on Sunday, August 23, alongside sporting events. However, the official start will be on Friday, August 28, with the opening speech delivered by Dr. Luis Peña Quintana.
The religious program will commence with the Descent of the image of the Virgen del Pino on September 5, although the festive flag will fly at the Basilica of Teror from September 1. The musical program includes thirty concerts, in addition to thirty other artistic performances as part of the 'En Pie' Street Art Festival.
Organized by the Teror City Council, in collaboration with the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and the Parish of Teror, the program encompasses religious, festive, traditional, cultural, sporting, commercial, tourist, family, and youth activities, spread throughout the historic center, particularly around the Basilica and Plaza de Sintes.
Among this year's new additions are the ‘Los tardeos del Pino’, a family-friendly space for music and relaxation, which will be held on September 4, 6, 11, and 18 in Parque de Sintes.
The printed program is now available for digital download and will be distributed in local establishments and municipal offices. The 'Pino' magazine will be released next week, prior to the opening speech.
