The traditional Pino livestock fair, held yesterday at the Osorio Estate in Teror, brought together approximately 350 animals from 37 island breeders, offering a program of activities linked to Canarian traditions.

The fairgrounds at the Osorio Estate were filled with specimens of cattle, bovine, caprine, ovine, and equine livestock, attracting numerous visitors interested in animal husbandry and local customs.
The Teror City Council, through its Rural Development area led by councilwoman Irene Ortega, organized a family-friendly day with multiple recreational activities. These included ring races, team gymkhanas, livestock parades, demonstrations of threshing, Roman ploughing, shearing, donkey rides, environmental workshops, milking and cheese making, gofio dough tasting, ornithological displays, and corn husk stripping and shelling.
The exhibitions were supported by the Club de Arrastre la Caldera and the Club de Arrastre Gran Canaria. Folk music enlivened the event with performances by the Parranda El Lebrillo and the 'El Álamo' Dance Group.
The award ceremony recognized the most outstanding breeders, who also competed for prizes and transport subsidies for their animals. This year, the allocation for these subsidies amounted to 21,460 euros, an increase of nearly 5,000 euros compared to the previous year.
