Valleseco Hosts Kilómetro Cero Fair with 45 Producers, Boosting Local Consumption

The event, scheduled for April 18 and 19, aims to promote local products and sustainability across Gran Canaria.

The Kilómetro Cero Fair returns to Valleseco on April 18 and 19, bringing together 45 producers from 16 municipalities across Gran Canaria to foster local consumption and sustainability.

This event, which has become a key fixture on the island, will take place in the Plaza de San Vicente Ferrer, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The fair serves as a significant showcase for quality, local products, highlighting the diversity of the island's primary sector.
Valleseco strengthens its role as a leader in agri-food production, particularly in the cider sector. The fair will feature local cideries such as Sidras Tuscany and Sidras El Lagar de Valleseco. Additionally, other producers from the municipality, including Quesos Cardona, Miel Macaronesia, Horneando Sueños, and Viveros Leti Flor, will showcase the richness of local production.
This edition welcomes six new producers, bringing the total to over 380 participants across the 36 editions of the Kilómetro Cero Fair of Gran Canaria. The event is supported by various entities, including the Valleseco City Council, GMR Canarias, the Government of Canarias, the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Turismo de Gran Canaria, the Chamber of Commerce, Cajasiete, and Gran Canaria Mosaico.
The fair's main objectives include boosting the local economy, promoting the consumption of proximity products, encouraging sustainable habits, and supporting the conservation of the island's landscape and primary sector.
