The municipality of Valleseco is preparing to host, for the second time, the Km.0 Gran Canaria Fair, an event that has established itself as a benchmark in promoting local products and fostering sustainable consumption habits. The event will take place on April 18 and 19 in the Plaza de San Vicente Ferrer, from 09:00 to 14:00.
This edition will feature the participation of 45 producers from 16 municipalities across the island, underscoring the fair's role as an essential showcase for the rich local agri-food sector. Valleseco, known for its growing cider production, will welcome two prominent local cider houses: Sidras Tuscany and Sidras El Lagar de Valleseco.
In addition to the cider producers, other local businesses such as Quesos Cardona, Miel Macaronesia, Horneando Sueños, and Viveros Leti Flor will be present to display the diversity and quality of products from the area. The fair also includes six new producers, joining the more than 380 participants who have been part of the previous 36 editions of the Km.0 Gran Canaria Fair.
The organization of this event is made possible by the support of various entities, including the Valleseco City Council, GMR Canarias – Government of Canarias, the Department of Economic Development, Industry, Commerce and Crafts of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Turismo de Gran Canaria, the Chamber of Commerce of Gran Canaria, Cajasiete, and Gran Canaria Mosaico. Among the fair's main objectives are boosting the local economy, promoting the consumption of local products, and supporting those who contribute to the preservation of the island's landscape.
