The fair will be held in the parking area behind the municipal pavilion El Mercadillo, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Attendees will be able to purchase Valsequillo potatoes and other local produce directly, as well as enjoy traditional cooking demonstrations and tastings.
Scheduled activities include a mojo sauce competition, raffles, and various proposals designed for family enjoyment. The day will be enlivened with Canarian music, creating a festive and charming atmosphere for all visitors.
Approximately 40 stalls will be set up at the fairgrounds, where local merchants will offer their products. The slogan for this edition, “Some things are not bought, they are cultivated,” highlights the importance of agricultural work and the quality of local produce.
Some things are not bought, they are cultivated.
Unlike previous years, the Potato and Corn Fair will be held independently of the Strawberry Fair. This decision was made in coordination with farmers, who adjusted the event dates due to recent heavy rains and current harvest times, aiming to ensure the best possible product quality.
While the third edition of the Potato and Corn Fair now has an official date, the eleventh Valsequillo Strawberry Fair will be postponed until late May. The Valsequillo City Council is finalizing the details to set the definitive date for this other event, which also attracts thousands of people to the town center each year.
