The Mancomunidad de Municipios de las Medianías de Gran Canaria has launched a promotional campaign for the 15th Regional Fair of Wine, Cheese, and Honey, branding three Global buses with the event's image, which will travel across the island until November 1st.

The 15th Regional Fair of Wine, Cheese, and Honey of the Canary Islands, 'Alma de Medianías', is now traveling across Gran Canaria. Starting today, three buses from the company Global feature the event's image on their sides, carrying the invitation to every neighborhood and road on the island. This initiative aims to attract visitors to the highlands this weekend, where producers from across the Archipelago will showcase their products.
The presentation of the buses took place at the Global depots in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It was attended by the President of the Mancomunidad and mayor of Santa Brígida, José Armengol Martín, the mayor of Valsequillo de Gran Canaria, Juan Carlos Hernández Atta, and the top representatives of the transport company, Heriberto Godoy and Víctor Quintana.
The selected routes are line 13 (Telde-Vega de San Mateo, passing through Valsequillo), line 1 (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria-Puerto de Mogán), and line 103 (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria-Puerto de Las Nieves). Global will reinforce the connection between Telde and Valsequillo during the fair weekend, with departures every half hour.
José Armengol Martín highlighted that this alliance with Global aims to make the journey to the fair begin at any bus stop on the island, promoting convenient and sustainable mobility. He emphasized the importance of joint work among the five municipalities of the Mancomunidad to increase reach and the capacity to attract partners.
For his part, Juan Carlos Hernández Atta recalled that the fair belongs to the entire region and that Valsequillo is the host this year. He invited citizens to travel to the highlands without worrying about their cars, to taste the products, and to converse with their producers.
The collaboration between the Mancomunidad and Global is based on a shared objective of public service, aiming to ensure sustainable and accessible mobility. The initiative seeks to increase attendance at the fairgrounds, reduce traffic on the highland roads, and provide active promotion of the event.
The 'Alma de Medianías' fair will be held at the Pabellón Municipal El Mercadillo and its surroundings in Valsequillo de Gran Canaria, on October 31st and November 1st. It will feature over 80 brands of wine, cheese, and honey from across the Archipelago, tastings, a livestock exhibition, and activities for all ages. Admission is free and funded by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria.
