The Buenavista del Norte City Council has launched the fourth edition of its initiative ‘Buenavista + Deporte’, aiming to encourage physical exercise among residents, reaching a record number of 178 participants.

The initiative, developed in collaboration with the sports challenge mobile application Nasara, has seen steady growth since its inception, increasing from 66 participants in its first call to the current 178.
Mayor Eva García highlighted the council's commitment to creating opportunities that promote a more active lifestyle, describing health promotion as a "shared commitment".
García added that the challenge not only promotes well-being and citizen participation but also contributes to the revitalization of local commerce through a prize draw for gift vouchers for those who complete the challenge.
For his part, the Councilor for Sports, Héctor Velázquez, reiterated the council's intention to continue supporting projects that enhance citizens' well-being and encourage the adoption of healthy habits in daily life.
Registered participants must progressively achieve the established exercise objectives, thereby facilitating the integration of physical activity into their daily routines, regardless of age or sporting level.
As an additional incentive, a prize draw for gift vouchers, redeemable at local businesses in Buenavista del Norte, will be held for those who successfully complete the challenge.
The Nasara – Retos Deportivos application, available for IOS and Android, tracks participants' physical activity and fosters motivation through collective sports challenges.
